You have to be really, really good at football to play on the back foot. We’re not.

He needs to change this, either immediately or by 60 at the latest. We need an easy out ball and we need to be 10 times more aggressive.

We should have been on the front foot from the word go.

Get their full backs turned towards their goal and press them.

They are shite. Scotland make them look like a good side because we let them play.

Nah. We’ve seen enough to know they are better than a chronic Scotland team. That doesn’t make them decent, or anything close.

At any level of the game if you sit off the opposition they'll eventually cause you problems.

We've not had a shot on target while managing to make Israel look far better than they are.

A huge 2nd half coming up to turn it round or this group's done already.

There is a difference between acknowledging they are decent and thinking that we have players on that park who are better than them.

On paper, we have much better players.

We need to ditch the inferiority complex and start controlling games like this because we have the players to do it.

Well we aren’t going to fling shit at them. We aren’t Celtic fans.

Terrible to watch . We're so defensive and yet we let in goals. Jack Henry might be doing ok in Belgium but he's just as bad as ever on these showings.  We look just as bad as we did under mccleish. Clarke's now had 245 mins without us scoring a goal against this dross. Anyone worth their salt would've worked out how to play them by now FFS.

Clarke got us past Serbia & Israel and into the Euros (without beating either in normal time) in a play-off situation that Alex McLeish led us to.

He ballsed up the Nations League group in which we only needede 1 win from our final 2 games and we got beat by Israel and Slovakia (their only win in the 6 game group format) which would have been our back-up to the WC and had just seen the benefit of it as it's the reason we qualified for the Euros!

If we don't win tonight we'll technically be winless in 6 (we won on penalties against Serbia, granted).

This is far from good enough and isn't actually that much of an improvement than McLeish.

We do have better players, and we're a better team than them too. That's why we're ranked ahead of them both by FIFA and UEFA, and have finished above them both times. I'd very strongly back us to do so again in this group too. However, it is also simultaneously true that their style of play is incredibly effective against ours and therefore they consistently come out on top in these head-to-heads.

Whats your take craig?

Still absolutely astonished that people would have preferred a different formation?

I’ve always been against doing it, but I genuinely would be begging shagger to come back for the Euros.

McAvennie?  Just a bit past his best - both on and off the pitch, I should have thought.

marshall and mctominay can do far far better on that goal, also i have no issue being negative against good sides, we are sitting far too deep against a bang average side , there is no need to be this negative, clarke will need to change at some stage.
