An interesting one this, as LibDems will froth at the mouth because it's iAn bLaCkFoRd'S fAuLt

I think that line of argument is reserved for only the most mental unionists.

My gran hit out with it last weekend when I saw her, and even my dad, who’s usually keen to get on board with any attacks on the SNP, was having absolutely none of it.

Should we include the sheer brass neck of the LibDems and Labour castigating the SNP because the Edinburgh trams saga went over budget and in the end the plans had to be scaled down. Now, what people should know about that is when those contracts were signed, it was under a Lib/Lab pact in Holyrood and it was them who agreed on the scale of infrastructure.

To anyone who didn't know it would look like this was all the SNPs fault, after all we know that almost all public infrastructure projects go over budget so you'd just accept that is the case here. However to those in the know, this was Lib/Lab politicians blaming the SNP for projects put in place by the Lib/Lab pact.

Didn't the scottish govt originally KB the whole tram thing then Labour Edinburgh City Council went on by themselves and completely messed it up.

Then the SNP minority govt tried to scrap it but got defeated and agreed to finish a single line that went to the airport.

12:00 ballots open
12:02 ballot closed
12:03 all ballots counted.

What took so long?

The Returning Officer had to adjudicate one ballot paper that thad no cross on it, but featured a cock and balls. The vote went to ACH as the voter's intentions were clear.
