The Daft Willie Rennie thread

it's incredible the exposure and coverage the LibDems continue to get.

Based on SnV's comparison above, I bet if the SSP consistently had 3-4 MSPs in place since 2003, they would not be getting invited onto debate shows nor be getting a fraction of the invites and coverage that Wee Willie gets to spout off his shite that his 4 MSPs is progress; confirms Scotland's support for the union; and how it allows him to hold the SNPs feet to the fire.

Truly delusional shite passed off as political debate by much of our media.

Did he even turn up to FMQ's today?

He no longer gets a guaranteed question as your party needs a minimum of 5 seats for that and they dropped to 4 at the election. With the chamber socially distanced he probably wasn't there now.

Willie Rennie has announced he's stepping down as leader.

As if anyone will notice. Certainly no-one will care.

That’s a plum job becoming available for someone with absolutely no ambition.

Some of the resignations on P&B have been bigger announcements.

They now have a pool of 3 MSPs to choose from as leader. What a party.

Liam Mcarthur and Beatrice Wishart are the only other MSP options (nope, me neither)...

McArthur is the deputy presiding officer and Wishart is a fairly new MSP so you’d have to think Cole-Hamilton will get in unopposed.

He'll be running unopposed I guess.

You would think so unless the MP in Fife gets the nod but that would be fairly odd.

Cole Hamilton come across as deeply unhinged, he will probably last no longer than 18 months before being embroiled in scandal.

I'm just thinking if someone else stood, he'd have one vote, they'd have one vote and it'd be a tie.

The BBC are reporting that Alex C-Hamilton "has a habit of rubbing people up the wrong way".

Setting aside the Jeremy Thorpe 1970s joke book and given the BBC's obsessive required for balance, I do wonder what his worst traits are?
