Scottish Parliamentary Elections May 2021

Supposed to work? Aye, after a voting system set up by Labour imagining that will shut those noisy Scots up with no danger of a nationalist majority.

As long as we are ultimately ruled from a UK Parliament that allows 80 seat majorities on 40% odd of the UK national vote, folk can go and raffle their complaints about it being unfair.

That's drivel, Labour didn't set up the system, it was chosen by the cross-party-and-neutral Constitutional Convention. It's a massive zombie myth that it was designed to stop an SNP majority - if anything, the only party anyone ever thought could get a majority was Labour.

Just because Westminster has a shite election system doesn't mean we should break ours on purpose.

Alloway, doonfoot and some other 'I'm alright Jack' tory spots

Pretty small areas overall. Prestwick and Troon awash with the blue rinsers more than those areas.

Not, quite, it's basically Ayr Wwest which is roughly the same size as both of those.

Labour vote halved in Eastwood. Yet another seat that's reduced to an SNP-unionist two horse race.

If proof were ever needed that the Tories and Labour have become two shades of the same blue colour then this is it.  Absolute burning shame on the totally unprincipled Labour voters who jumped the political dyke here.
