Effie Deans having a meltdown...I didn't realise she was still around.

Strange old bird.

Had a twitter exchange a few years ago with her. She was all you nats this, you nats that. I asked her if she could at least acknowledge she was British Nat?

Instant block. Wee nosey on incognito page as to why? She will not have people calling her a Nat!!

Marvellous lack of self awareness.

Braden deserves his place on the list, he has worked tirelessly from wanting an independent Northumberland, to standing for Scottish Labour against Salmond in the GE and being trounced, voting against his party for Indy2014, ending up in a sleaze scandal with Ross Thomson in an Aberdeen hotel room, leaving his socialist history behind to become a Tory Angus councilor and now sqeezing in the 'back door' like a good Tory boy...
He didn't stand on the list [emoji23] I think he genuinely believed he'd beat Mairi Gugeon. Wild. Sadly we're stuck with him as a Councillor who'd attend the opening of an envelope until next year at least.

Finish MP and good guy Mikko laying out the frozen red carpet.

Congratulation for your huge victory in #Scotland elections! I am confident, you will vote for independence soon after pandemic is over. In the meantime, I will launch an initiative to Nordic Council: we will ask Scotland to join council as an observer.

^^^^Is Dross humphy-backit????

If anyone has seen Shutter, it is surely the ghosts of Scots throughout the ages bearing down on him.

I suppose it could also be bad posture.

Och. Just do this to him at a surgery (if he's not a ruthie type) and f**k off laughing.

The intriguing thing is that if either Rennie or ACH lost their constituency, they might not have got a list seat in compensation AFAIK. Their vote share in both regions was hilariously low - because the tactical Yoon voters returned home - and would have left them in serious trouble.

An opportunity missed then but it means that there's at least another two seats there for the taking. They could be driven off the mainland in the near future, even under a PR voting system. Just let that sink in.

Nah, if the SNP took Willie's seat then he'd get in via the list as they got 7.4%, taking the Tories fourth list seat. And if the SNP also took ACH's seat, the Lib Dems 7.2% on the list would get them a list seat at the expense of the Greens.

That was a cracker, however my personal favourite campaign promise was that electing him as an MSP would end parking charges in Angus, which as a Councillor he ushered in and indeed voted against any attempts to review them by the SNP group [emoji23]

Fifty/fifty on independence more or less in the polls, here in 2021 as opposed to 25% yes prior to 2014.
Of course Boris Johnson will not approve indy ref2. He COULD lose. He fears this and so do you. Clear as fucking day.
His chummy bonhomie and casual dog whistling might go down well south of the border and with a fucking hopeless opposition led by Keith, who's more beige than a 1978 Austin Maxi, what he gets away with there doesn't work here.
Johnson stayed well the f**k away from Scotland in this election but in a referendum campaign with him at the helm, he is a fucking liability.

Well you’ve kind of got the point there. Westminster could agree to another referendum, but what’s the best case scenario for unionists if that happens?
The best case scenario is that we win convincingly (again) and that just puts us right back into the situation we are just now. That situation being a load of separatists calling for an independence referendum. Only difference is this time they’re asking for Indyref3 instead of indyref2.
So, what’s the point in having one? The separatists have already shown that they won’t accept the result if they lose. Are we actually supposed to believe that it would be different second time round? Of course it wouldn’t be. Would you give up on it if you lost twice?
The dream will never die speeches will be rewritten and spoken the morning after and #indyref3 will be the next twitter trend.
Therefore unionists in Westminster and here have two options. Either we forever indulge neverendum separatists (until they win a referendum, in which case that will be the issue closed in their eyes) or shut them down.
We both know which of those options they’re going to choose.
