What game was that?

I take it you reached a semi final at some 70s point?

Scottish Cup semi v Hearts. 1st game 0-0, lost the 2nd, helped by a thumping postage stamp header for Hearts from Walter Smith. Unfortunately,  he was defending for Dumbarton at the time.

This broke my 10yo heart.

For those like me having to listen on Radio Scotland, Jones is getting talked up to Marco Van Basten levels by the commentator and Craig Levein.

Proving that after the 4-6-0 formation, Levein knows f**k all about strikers.

Can I start the “Dean Campbell is rotten” chat earlier this week ?

You could, but he's been one of our best players in the opening half hour so I'm not sure why you would want to do that.

Kamberi is absolutely shite, other than a purple patch at a Hibs caused by John McGinn, Scott Allan and Martin Boyle creating chances for him he’s been awful everywhere he’s been.

The Swiss Conor Sammon.

He will still score against Hibs though.

Joe Lewis got away with one there. If that chip bounces in the field of play, he’s off.

All smiles and everything but that is a penalty

No wonder Scottish football is dying, with decisions like that. The ball hadn't gone dead & whether it was going over or not is irrelevant.

As for the BBC, usual pandering to the big club & that idiot McFadden wants to get so far TF it's unreal. Trying to justify it.

If that's the rules then why are penalties given when balls are obviously going out for by kicks/corners/throws?

It was physical impediment preventing the player from playing the ball in the box. The keeper had no clue where the ball was & the striker was going by him in the event he was able to play it.

As stone wall a penalty as ever you'll see.

That goal came in the 8th minute of the replay I see - it presumably set the tone.  The crowd is given as 11,000, so most of them must be in that picture.

Today is the anniversary of the first goalless game.

Back to 2021, that's a good save.
