Who is this idiot? How long will it take to realise that the ECHR is nothing to do with Brexit and it would be impossible for us to leave.

Would it be factually correct to say the ECHR is nothing to do with the EU and Brexit?

It is correct nothing to do with the EU or Brexit, old court set up following WWII with a significant contribution from......wait for it......the UK. Winston Churchill was a fan!

More folk arrived via boats across the Channel on the day the 1st Rwanda flight was scheduled to depart than will EVER be deported to deepest Africa yet this is all about breaking the people smugglers "business plan". Total disingenuous shite from the UKG. The whole policy is simply a base drum banging out the beat to their lowest knuckle daggers. Hopefully costs Patel her cabinet post.

Yes but it is absolutely impossible for them to leave the jurisdiction of the ECHR and honour existing commitments, something has to give and it would be remarkable if the Rwanda plan was given precedence.

What makes you think that honouring existing commitments is even a consideration?

He will be fully aware that the ECHR is nothing to do with the EU. But those that listen to him will lap up that piece of misinformation as complete fact. Best to keep the ill-informed ill-informed.
