Law society :

The Principles apply to individuals and firms. Solicitors must act:

  • in a way that upholds the constitutional principle of the rule of law, and the proper administration of justice
  • in a way that upholds public trust and confidence in the solicitors' profession and in legal services provided by authorised persons
  • with independence
  • with honesty
  • with integrity
  • in a way that encourages equality, diversity and inclusion
  • in the best interests of each client

Looks like their could be a conflict then.

Only with five or six out of the seven principles.

There is of course the unpublished 8th principle which is "get paid a lot". These things have to be viewed in the round.

Thanks for that! A fair summary, I think.

Edit... "Nadine Dorries, a woman with a fork in a world of soup... "

😂

This also captures the man!

Hmmm... Interest rates up by half half a percent, 5 quarters of recession predicted and an estimate of 13.3% inflation by October.

Cue Tory apologists, Cabinet members and leadership contenders telling us that everything is fine and the economy is safe with the Conservative Party.

^^^ How I initially read that, because of the use of the word dildo.

Could you imagine a Tory PM having to take questions in Holyrood

Is this the same p***k who was apoplectic at the thought of UK politicians even working with, never mind being answerable to, the union he opposed? Once again, the hypocrisy of UK Nats knows no bounds - it’s outrageous that anyone should interfere with us in the name of political union, but we should be free to treat those we jolly well own like schoolchildren in the name of political union.

They look after us and are in charge, we're probably incapable of asking a question.

Of course, the cynic might say this is the opening salvo of stripping all powers away from Holyrood.

He's saying the Tory MSP's aren't up to the job, every week Holyrood is sitting.

It might be interesting to ask them why they think the Conservatives* haven't won a majority of seats in a general election in Scotland since 1955 when Anthony Eden was the party leader. I'd genuinely like to hear what they think on that.  17 general elections in a row - one might almost think that the Scottish electorate was trying to tell them something.

It's quite funny watching Tory has-beens likes Mundell and IDS coming away with ever more desperate ideas in the hope that Liz fucking Truss will validate their existence, or indeed even notice them.

IDS is an utter, utter c**t of a man who actively celebrated the poorest in society being fucked over by his reforms. I can't decide whether I'd prefer him to die of AIDS, cancer or develop Alzheimers. p***k.
