Would take SPFL3 but without B teams.

That would at least move everybody up a level.

The LL could then look a bit less like a pantomime league.

It would mean the opposite for the majority. 10-12 clubs stay Tier 5. 22-24 get pushed down to Tier 6. Repeat on down the line.

So it appears the SFA's (and SPFL's) preferred "solution" is to form a new "Conference League" to sit between L2 and the HL/LL.  10 team league, upto 6 B teams (which can't be promoted) and 4 from HL/LL (which can). An independent league.

A complete abomination of an idea.  SPFL clubs don't want B teams in L2, or a new L3.

All Pyramid Leagues have been asked to canvass members of what their preferences are, inc status quo.

Lowland League rep no doubt thinks it's the best idea ever.

Under normal circumstances I'd describe that plan as hilarious but it's just shows the sad state of their thinking! Just imagine 7th in a ten team league getting promoted. The promoted team could even be goal difference away from being relegated!

Not anything anyone wouldn't have said before but with the Juniors having finally all joined the pyramid. They should just expand league 2 to 16 (no B teams). There's now more clubs in the system so potentially enough quality for that now. Of course won't happen as B teams are the only motivation for change which of course is ridiculous.

And if league 2 are happy with not playing every team frigging four times a season but concerned about the reduction in fixtures increase it to 18 or twenty! There's now enough clubs in the pyramid! FFS though, I won't hold my breath.

Guess what? There'll also be more league teams for Premiership teams to loan players out to get some experience in proper frigging conditions rather than some artificial hodgepodge of a then compromised league.

Are celti hearts and rangers B team players. The same players that turn out for the reserves ? If not fire the B teams in the reserve league. Its no as if they can get promoted. And leave the LL  alone .

There's no reserve league and hasn't been for years.

There is a Reserve league. Sure it would have helped with 3 extra teams.

Only stopped 2019-20 and 2021-22.

Is that the thing that only plays 9 games and doesn't include all clubs?  I don't think that's continuing next season, could be wrong.

Will this require any sort of vote from organisations?

Ah yes, another national league - something that no one ever asks for.

The only real response to this is status quo.  Don't play the SFA/SPFL games and try to force the SFA to discuss the Lowland League issue of lack of promotion opportunities for clubs at tier 6.

The SFA can of course go ahead with this Conference League without tier 6 approval, but I'm guessing it would need HL/LL approval for changes to the play-off system.

It's yet another clusterfuck brewing.

So what would the point of this conference be? Teams presumably would be relegated into it from League 2, and promoted into it from the Lowland and Highland, so would it be 6 B teams and 4 Highland/Lowland teams who would basically change every season? What a load of shite.
