Dev
4 hours ago, parsforlife said: f**k the coefficient, it is right at the bottom of my thoughts week to week and does very little to strengthen the overall position of Scottish football, it helps the top 2 who a good co-efficient gives them a greater chance of success and financial gain(which it detrimental to the rest) Others in the top 6ish may get benefit if we get more European places but it becomes more a prestige thing at that stage and the financial gains less significant. Then you have very minimal solidarity payments that slightly help the remaining premiership teams. Overall those solidarity payments do not touch the sides in making up for the financial imbalance created by the prize money given to the top 2. For the rest of us there is zero benefit from a better coefficient. We don’t support the national coefficient we support clubs. Are you serious? Anything that helps the Scottish game matters. Whatever your feelings about the 2 Glasgow teams, surely that fact that we have a Scottish team in a major European comp semi trumps any argument about the rights and wrongs of B teams, after all the co-efficient of the country is being boosted. I hope all the Scottish teams lose in Europe. I don't like any of them. I'm not that fussed about the national team. But I hope even harder that Rangers lose more than the rest.

Ray Patterson
Is there anything stopping say Newcastle from applying to have their U23s play in the Lowland League?

Big Fifer
So the LL is now trying to get the likes of Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen in so they can charge them fees as well, whilst keeping the door as close to shut as possible for those beneath? Seems crazy when this was "just for one season"...
craigkillie
I doubt they'll actually be letting anyone other than Rangers or Celtic in, this is just about making it seem like there's a fair and transparent process.
edinabear
Hopefully the league will be increased to 20, and Rangers, Celtic, Hearts and Hibs have colts in them. Will be great for sponsers -

Edit: Our B team isn’t even a real “club” If big Ange was planning on bringing the first team down that would be a different story Edited April 18 by Clown Job

Likewise if Hibs and Hearts want in they can play teams at the bottom of the EoSFL and work their way up like every fecker else has to. No issues from me if that happens. Whoever let Colts in at tier 5 in the 1st place can gtf. I know the clubs that voted for them are just as bad but wtf were the LL committee thinking? jamamafegan
The Lowland League are getting an absolute kicking on their social media posts. I doubt it will change anything but it’s good to see so many people slamming the league. You can only hope someone involved with the league finally comes to their senses and starts to mend this broken, shambles of a division.

Yes the LL are getting a kicking, but for me ALL the clubs that voted to allow “guest clubs” to apply for the League should get a bigger kicking. After all the League are acting on a democratic vote from the clubs. Guest clubs can also gtf for me. C’mon The Rose

I am just glad our club were black balled from this absolute circus of a league. It just highlights the standard of decision making from our club at the time that the lowland league was even considered an option for us.
