Remembers that last year the sales pitch was for one season as there would be reconstruction the following season. :oops

Will be interesting to see if the SFA and SPFL do get behind it, that would be a first.

As seen with all the SPFL reconstruction talks over the years. The SPFL Board might be behind something. That doesn't mean the right majority of members are.

Countries that have let B teams in have actually got worse.(Netherlands)?

Funnily enough the fact that the Dutch national team have been really poor for years gets consistently ignored by the B-team advocates. For that matter, my detailed essay on how awful it is in The Netherlands, which I have posted quite a few times now, still has 0 replies from B-team advocates that use actual arguments on why I'm wrong or why it would be different for Scotland.

I said in a post yesterday that the stance on that might change with the relegation of Cowdenbeath? Not guaranteed to, but it just might.

Already depressed about being in the Lowland League without having to read this nonsense!

Mrmans just a troll(does exactly the same on the highland league forum, looks at the prevailing mood&says the opposite, even if it contradicts his post yesterday), obviously very inadequate, just ignore him.if everyone was on here saying the B teams would be the best thing ever he'd be saying get them tae f**k

If they accept hearts aswell then it will be hibs next year and aberdeen after that and an emerging promising pyramid system will be diluted to a glorified reserve  league.

Only Scotland could not bother having a pyramid system for a hundred&fifty years or so then, when they finally get round to it, totally ruin it.depressing beyond words

Apparently, as part of the agreed review, there will be a rule put in place barring B teams from the end of next season.

If the Lowland League clubs have any ability for critical thought (and we've already seen that they don't), then the obvious question after this would be "what's in it for Celtic and Rangers then?". Why would they happily have themselves barred from having a B team at any point in the future just so Hearts can have one this year? It would be completely contrary to their very obvious long-term goal.

So there are two possible outcomes here - they and the Lowland League board are lying again, or the reason that they can claim B teams will be banned from the Lowland League is because the proposal will instead have them either in SPFL League 2 or some sort of new League 3, in which case the ambitious Lowland League teams will have to play them again soon anyway.

My money would be on the latter.

As predicted, all 3 B teams will be entering the lowland league next season

We all know the clubs responsible for voting yes.

Gretna, BSC (or whatever they are called) EK etc, get them in the bin.

Circus of a league

They'll need that extra cash as the novelty has worn off already if it even existed to begin with.

Hope one of them win it as that will truly call the league's credibility into question.

This isn't going away for at least 5 years as it's going to take years due to the relegation bottle neck to weed out the boys clubs, students, hobby teams and pyramid schemes.

This league has lost any sense of what is right and what is wrong.  It's also clear that the SFA have been backing this as well, facilitating clubs bribing their way into Tier 5.  You have to also remember that SFA members below Tier 5 have no vote and no voice at SFA AGM.

Don't hold your breath on a "complete review of the Pyramid".

The bribe has been increased to £40k and the LL clubs have subsequently spread their cheeks once again. Those voting this through have zero integrity and will be forever tainted by their bleak avarice.

We all know the path this is leading to; eventually they'll promise further funding and the rules blocking promotion will be removed. They'll begin pestering the L1/L2 clubs and showing them how much money they could make by allowing them entry into the SPFL.

The Lowland League should have been a positive first step towards finally developing a functioning pyramid in Scotland. Instead, we have this complete sham.
