It seems like the old squirm have been on a mission to get their B teams into the league proper poo pooing reserve leagues etc.

Who knows how they've actually managed to get them into the lowland league. It's beyond belief they've got that far.

Now hearts are trying to kid on they're grouped with the old squirm lol.

The Scottish cup final says no.

Money is the answer to how they got in.

Its not a new thing in the late 60s Jock Stein wanted Celtic reserves to get the vacant slot in Division 2.

Being a southern fan, and having memories of Football Combination games many years ago - I can't understand why the Reserve set up in Scotland always looks doomed to failure. Why did the big boys seem so against this ? Was it money driven ? Why can't a 20-21 year old play in the first team ?

Some do

How did the AGM go?

The AGM went well - guest clubs were never on the agenda for the AGM.  A separate General Meeting looked at that matter and a constructive debate was held - no vote was ever envisaged at either of those meetings on guest teams.  That will happen shortly

A debate means 2 sides. Which means still a camp of tossers.

I’m told that Ian Maxwell attended the meeting, can you confirm?

Presumably Tranent and Cowdenbeath get to vote this time.

Will that make a difference?

The vote on continuing Guest clubs went 11-4-1. Berwick being the one club to abstain.

The vote on accepting all 3 Guest clubs was rejected 3-13.

Since then the OF & Hearts have said it's all or nothing.

It's not then a case of just swapping out Bonnyrigg & VoL for Cowdenbeath & Tranent. I wouldn't be shocked if VoL are begging to be the 20th club so no team is idle.

A yes vote to let three b teams in will completely ruin the lowland league.

The powers that be should take away the promotion slot if this happens.

The powers that be in SFA board terms probably want a yes vote if Ian Maxwell was there so why would they do that?

Voting again on Monday, apparently, (because the first time the clubs voted, they gave the wrong answer?)

Would guess that the first vote was indicative rather than formal, similar to what happens in the SPFL.
