Is this to appease Ken Ferguson by any chance? Appreciate he has just stood down from the board but the timing is very coincidental, especially with Brechin looking directly at the trapdoor.

Is this a serious post?

The polling for these is hilarious. Old Firm fans in favour by an 80% margin, the opposite for literally every other club.

It'll never end until Ireland is united and the SNP finally unveil their plans for the Greater Govan Farm Park and Petting Zoo.

Other than the old firm, who else would really benefit from this? If there is no relegation this season Brechin will be saved, this proposal has came to light in very close proximity to their Chairman leaving the SPFL board. Might be 2+2 getting 40 or might not be. Whilst it isn't set in stone that they would go down through the playoffs their form and rapid decline over the past few years would certainly suggest there is a good chance they would.

Why would the SPFL give a shit about Brechin?

Why do folk think Brechin wield some mad amount of power? Brechin.

Their chairman was just one of many on the board and got just one vote. Any club can put a proposal to the SPFL anyway, so why would Brechin have ever needed someone on the board to propose no relegation?

Has anyone actually considered that if this happens it sets a presidence. If the old firm get colts teams there would be no legitimate justification to stop any other club to do likewise. If its not the case then the whole set up is a sham and and old firm love in.

Looks like the Premiership clubs will torpedo this proposal anyway.

'Premiership clubs are set to reject plans for a revised 12-12-10-10 SPFL structure which would see the introduction of Old Firm colt teams in the bottom tier. (Daily Mail, print edition)'

And why only Old Firm colt teams? Why not every premier league team - why a special case for them?

But no, keep them all away to f**k, we don't want our leagues devalued by entering kids teams.

They're the only ones who want them. All of this shite is just for them, and them alone, despite the comical attempts to claim otherwise.

But aye, keep them all away to f**k.

Not true.

Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen have expressed interest in the past. It's just the Old Firm ones that are constantly tried to  be forced through.

And it's back again, like a particularly smelly shite that just won't flush. This time with a plan to expand the Spfl to 12 teams in each league.

Back to emailing the club, how many times do we have to say no.

Have emailed the club again, just to make sure they’re still dead against this. As I’m sure is the case for many folk, I’d be done with Scottish football if this was allowed to happen. Bad enough the Lowland League killing their credibility forever.

Genuinely how would rangers afford that level of spending? If it was to happen and I'm still against it until they chuck billions at the other clubs, but if it was I would hope the SPFL would take 5 years money up front.
