Scotland v Austria

Recommended Posts

Not a bad result in isolation but we really needed to win that I think. Qualification will be tougher now and could depend on having to win in Vienna (assuming we don't take 9 points from Israel, Moldova and the Faroes; should we fail to do so we might as well not bother).

I've got a good feeling about Dykes and Adams' potential partnership. Dykes makes strikers around him better, he has the potential to turn Adams into a proper international goalscorer if they player together

Unhappy with that result, first 40 minutes couldn’t string 2 passes together before it was back to the keeper

robertson shouldn’t take set pieces

dykes was well off pace

marsh should have done better on the first

regales of it being a great header there were 3 in the box and 3 around the crosser shouldn’t have been allowed to cross in never mind find the target

yellows will come back to bite us in the ass

happy with O’Donnell and tierney that’s about it

And the second goal. He'd be panned on here by the fan boys.

Do you take some perverse thrill in being constantly pessimistic and miserable by the way?

Drawing at home against the second seeds isn't a good result if you want to qualify.

It's not great, but not a disaster. We can get something in Vienna. Anything off Denmark will be a bonus but we have to beat Israel home and away.

Now, can we avoid defeat in Moldova.
