Falkirk vs Montrose

That was absolutely grim.

Felt Montrose fell apart after their subs and possibly should have persisted with what was working for them for the majority of the game. Absolutely toothless up top but really strong in the middle.

For us, baffling from the management team once again. Morrison and Keena probably the strongest players in the league and will be the reason we shitfest our way to the title if we do.

We need to win this league because we've no chance of beating a Championship team in a play off

We do seem to perform better against better sides mind you. We beat Arbroath pretty comfortably in the cup last season and fared well against Ayr and hearts.  Even our first half against Dunfermline was decent.

For all the tidy football Montrose played I don't think they fashioned a single chance over the 90 minutes.

A ricochet from a corner aside, I don't remember Mutch having anything to do.

3 points the most important thing today especially in the circumstances and with the other results going our way.

I fully expect we will go onto win this league, which above all is the most important thing. We'll have big decisions to make come the end of the season, though. Both on the playing and the management front.

We can't go into the championship with M&M, we're absolutely rotten. The only good thing about today is the result but it's torture to watch. I really can't have much optimism for us with how dreadful we perform.

Good to finally be a le to talk about football but f**k me that was hard. Not as convinced by others that we can slog our way to the title.

It won’t be through us being anything special but the full league is horrible. Thistle and Cove both aren’t great and we’ve just beaten the other title challenger.

East Fife worth keeping an eye on. Win their games in hand and they're only two points behind us.

This plus Airdrie playing 90 minutes with 10 men won't be a reflection on how they do in the next 6 games.

We've got by far the easiest fixture on paper next week with cove playing at East Fife and Partick at Airdrie.  Important we do our job next week.

Yep, although Forfar won away from home today so who knows?
Great opportunity to start to stretch clear though....

We were shit to watch, had at least 3 passengers on the pitch, gave away a lot of possession yet still beat one of our closest challengers by 2 goals, and Mutch won’t need to clean his gloves.

A full time team and a big squad will see us win this league - we ain’t playing Man City and Bayern here.  We just need to be mediocre.

Shocking watch. Defence played well TBF. Midfield a shocker, one up at home with two sitters against Montrose tell us all about M&M and where we are as a club. And some may not want entertained but by f**k I do

We have been mediocre all season tbh, which says a lot about the standard in this league, we have also been lucky. There will be more than a couple of teams come off the park during the course of this season saying "how the actual f**k did we not take anything from Falkirk?"
