Yeah the only "building" went on from Dalziel (useless), Reid (Budget constraints) and McCall (best on the list so far), all the others just had to make do or sign junior jobbers/their mates
Blue Moon
We’ve had 8.Billy McLaren 99-03Neil Watt 03-06Gerry Britton 06-08Derek Ferguson 08-09Keith Knox 09-12Stephen Aitken 12-15Brian Reid 15-17Stephen Farrell 17-PresentIf we’d added another decade only another 2 would appear, Campbell Money and Sanny McAnespie. In 30 years only 3 managers have actually been dismissed by the club.
R.R.FC
1. Peter Hetherston 1999-2001 2. Jocky Scott 2001-2002 3. Antonio Calderon 2002-2004 4. Claude Anelka 2004 5. Gordon Dalziel 2004-2006 6. Craig Levein 2006 7. John McGlynn 2006-2012 8. Grant Murray 2012-2015 9. Ray McKinnon 2015-2016 10. Gary Locke 2016-2017 11. John Hughes 2017 12. Barry Smith 2017-2018 13. John McGlynn 2018-Current Day 13 for us, with a few very short reigns (Anelka, Levein, Hughes). Basically you are unlikely to get more than 2 years as Rovers manager unless your name is John McGlynn. Levein, McGlynn and McKinnon are the only 3 to have been ‘poached’ by other clubs and even Levein was due to his reputation rather than the job he was doing with us. The rest have either been sacked or left by ‘mutual consent’. Edited March 22, 2021 by R.R.FC
Lang Toun Lad
Hughes contract was only short term, surely? Left at the end of it (straight up Pratt Street at the end of the game).
