Shamelessly stolen form AberdeenMad.

Source has been spot on in the past so no cause to doubt it on this occasion.

Deal is 99% done, may even be announced within 48 hours.

They very much come a package. Alan Russell will be announced as part time until he is clear of the England set up in the summer, very well respected with their national set up, and will be a link for younger English talent.

Scott Brown has been doing some recruitment already, with 2 giving their words of coming with them. both internationalists.

The hold up is in the detail of how Stephen Glass can take over asap given the quarantine rules. Dave Cormack wants him in place for the cup tie, but..............

Alex Neil would have been on the radar, but already has a job lined up in England.

Wouldn't be surprised if Aberdeen announce Griffiths in the Summer.

I'm 100% on board the "bring Ryan Christie home" train.

Sabotaged McInnes by selling McKenna/Cosgrove and refusing to let him use the funds, all so he could justify appointing his wee holiday pal as manager.

Enjoy battling us diddies for the top 6 while Dave and Stephen have drinks of wine together every Saturday after a match and discuss philosophies...

Tbf there's hunners of photos on Cormacks twitter of the two of them, aswell as some puff piece by Cormack about how Glass was a great Aberdeen player.

Seems pretty clear there's a total hero complex from an Aberdeen fan to a former player on the go.

I shall reserve judgement on the as yet untested rookie former player who is the chairman's best mate.

That's right, he forced two players who tried to force their way out of the club on several occasions out the door as part of a plan to get Stephen Glass in the door.

McKenna's funds were used to fill the massive hole in the finances caused by running Cormack Park whilst taking in next to no income.

On Cosgrove, why the f**k would you give a departing manager the guts of £1m to spend when you're already unhappy with the quality of signings he's made.

I doubt if it's that. Cormack is a billionaire and I wouldn't imagine he's star struck by talking to a guy who once played a relative bit part for the Dons 25 years ago.

It's far more likely to be everything to do with the 'business relationship' we have with Atlanta United. They effectively have a seat on Aberdeen's board and there seems little doubt that their appointee, Darren Eales, will have had a huge say in who we appointed.

If this appointment is about anything, it's about Cormack trying to impress the Americans. Atlanta United have a financial stake in Aberdeen, and they want value for their buck.

Glass is just a part of the experiment.

Heard he started the coronavirus just so he could justify not giving McInnes the money and get his pal in.
Playing the long game.
