Huge fan of half pizza/half pasta being a completely acceptable option there too.

Which brings us neatly to the "curry with half rice, half chips" scenario....

Personally I think it's perfectly acceptable for a lunch time curry from the local snack shop, and I think I got away with it a couple of nights ago for my takeaway as I ordered the Masala chips (excellent) alongside a couple of portions of rice.
But I don't think I could bring myself to order chips in a curry house.
Am I behind the times?

People will excuse me if I dont talk about the match; that being said Motherwell have never been a happy-hunting ground for us since we came back up so no real surprises I suppose.

One thing though; was unable to watch the PPV with away team commentary so watched it with the "home" coverage. Have to say the guys doing the home "analysis" was the best I've heard all season (and I include Sky/PremierSport and BBC in that). Even handed comments; questioning some decisions by the ref; good observations on tactics for both teams in equal measure and no real mentions of the "physical/agricultural approach". Really made a refreshing change.

Stevie Kirk has brought a piece of class to it

I normally try to avoid being one of the "he hasn't played the game" types, but in Lewis Irons, I can't ever remember listening to any co-commentator in the past who had been a player or manager at some point.

Having Kirk offer his opinion on the games in an at least semi-insightful way has limited the amount of time there has been for Irons to say how good Motherwell were in the warm up, say how two-footed Barry Maguire is or call Mark O'Hara a free-kick specialist before he hits the wall again and it's improved the experience as a whole.

No harm to Irons, I guess analysis of football isn't his "trade" so to speak, but given he used to do the commentary on our games pre-COVID, I do wonder if we'd focused on getting Kirk, or someone similar, alongside him at the start of the season, rather than getting Jock in, if it would've been more listenable to all season. Don't get me wrong if I was to pick two of the three it would definitely be Brown and Kirk.

I'm absolutely fine with Jock Brown as he's entirely a person of interest to me on a purely nostalgic level. He's also an actual broadcaster and looking round the league if it's a choice between Rob McLean, David Tanner or whoever and Jock Brown then I'm fully on board with the bold Jock.

Again, no harm to Lewis Irons I can understand why we've asked him in to do co-comms as he's worked with the club and he's loosely in the 'broadcast' field seeing as he's traded up to working with the SFA and co-comms is a tricky thing to get right but it's a tough listen in a very bland 'media-trained' way.

I've wondered for most of the season why we haven't bothered roping in a few ex-players to do co-comms as that's 100% the sort of thing that would, again, be of interest. Kirk's 2 for 2 in the results stakes as well.

Either way, as was mentioned on the general thread, the club are missing a trick not appealing to the Gen X crowd more with their content.
