SANTAN
I wanted to start this thread the other day but shat out of it. Banter option is Mhari Black Sensible option is.... none of them. Dawson Park Boy
All hopeless. Kate Forbes seems a decent person but far too inexperienced.
G51
Kate Forbes, before she leaves the SNP to form the centrist opposition to the Highlands and Islands Independence Party.
BFTD
I met Keith Brown a few times not long after he was first elected as an MSP. He seems like a nice enough lad, but I wouldn't have taken any odds on there ever being any possibility of him becoming First Minister of Scotland. Hope for us all, lads.
G51
PS: the banter appointment is Joanna Cherry. Would instantly transform Anas Sarwar from a total loser into the Scottish FDR.
Boo Khaki
No 'Alex Salmond' comedy option? If there's pusses needing rapped it should be Stewart Hosie. Bloke looks permanently desperate to hook somebody. Edited March 2, 2021 by Boo Khaki

Meh, quick piece of form filling and a postal order in an envelope would sort that out.
Thistle_do_nicely
Alyn Smith as an outside shout, but I reckon it'll be Cherry.
MP_MFC
You'll see some exodus from the party to the Greens if it is Cherry.
Boo Khaki
Cherry would have to overcome the fact that she's a complete charisma vacuum, more than half the party can't fucking stand her, and a good portion of the general public believe she's a raging transphobe. JC would be the full scorched earth appointment. Can't see it happening in a million years.
NotThePars
Thank f**k I'm moving south to start the armed insurrection for the Northumbrian Independence Movement given Scotland are clearly too childish to be allowed to govern themselves
Donathan
Probably Humza Yousaf or Angus Robertson

gmca
Boris - done more for the party than anyone else in recent times.
Boo Khaki
Just now, Donathan said: Probably Humza Yousaf or Angus Robertson I think it would be Humza or Swinney in a placeholder capacity until a full leadership contest after the May election. Robertson isn't even an elected politician currently, and I don't think they'd have him lead the party, fail to win Edinburgh Central, then slither in via the list. Leave that embarrassing caper for unelectable non-entities like Douglas Ross, Murdo Fraser, and Annie Wells.
jamamafegan
I think Kate Forbes or Big Daddy Gus.

BFTD
Why do so many folk think that Cherry's likely to be the next leader of the SNP? Don't potential leaders need to be popular in some way?
