Highland Bullpen
We're looking to get a podcast out on top 5 handballs, for whatever reason - there are a few, what would make your list? That's assuming anyone on here understands the rules.

ICT vs Celtic Scottish Cup semi '15 3. Gavin Gunning f**k This moment '16 3. Shiltons Tears '86 4. Ireland's Tears '09

Ireland's Tears '09 Surprising we can't get decent referees on the pitch then! The Gavin Gunning one is the one we'd all want to do!

The stewards confiscated our flagpoles yet let Hibs keep theirs. The game was gash too. Still, the semi was terrific. We have to have been one of the worst teams ever to reach a final.

Pretty sure we had tickets and also a special Skol Cup pie from the local butcher. Some bitter Airdrie fans argued that the handball/penalty award was in fact a perfectly legitimate chest outside the box. They were 1-0 and coasting until the ref intervened late on to give us a penalty and we eventually won on penalties.

As I recall, refs didn't explain their decisions afterwards in those days, and I always pointed out to my Welsh BiL that, while Jaws did indeed hanball it, he wqas being manhandled by (at least) one of the mutton-molesters at the time, which would have been a valid reason for giving the penalty. Anyway: 1. Diego 1986 - anything which still has them whining like wee girls 35 years later adds to the joys of living down in England. 2. Henry 2009 - like Gemmill's goal in 1978, chalking off that French goal would just have been staving off the inevitable for an Irish side still confused as to why the English media didn't love them any more. (too many, er, Irishmen in the team imho) 3. Big Joe, as above. 4. Suarez against Ghana. While Maradona was chancing his arm and got away with it (as any striker, including St Gary, or the blessed Thierry, above, would do), Suarez was just cheating. Taking one for the team, you could say, but it left a bad taste especially as Ghana were pretty popular in this tournament. 5. Brian Prunty 2009. Not just for the bare-faced cheek of denying the clearest handball you could wish to see as it was replayed in front of him, but for the vain hope it inspired in the unwashed hordes before we battered them without Fernandez's help. "Ten men, we only need ten men..". Good times.
