Every club is cheated by refs at some point. Rangers got 4 none penalties against us as proved on Sportscene analysis.  Your defender was on the wrong side of our striker that's the bottom line.

What side should he be on?

If you're talking about the Dallas game, the first was a stonewaller. 17 year old Erhahon was hung out to dry playing at LB and definitely tripped Defoe.

However the other three were a dive by Defoe and incidents which happened outside the box so yet, they were ridiculous.

This is why refereeing will never improve in Scotland, everyone's got a chip on their shoulder about the last time a ref was conned into giving a decision against them and therefore gets their backs up immediately when one of their players gets a soft one and instantly retreats to:

a) he was entitled to go down as there was contact, no matter how minimal

or

b) well, in [x) game [y] team got a soft one, so it all evens out

I'm not sure that dickheads like me complaining on an internet forum has a causative effect on referees failing to improve.

I blame the stinking hangover I had on Sunday on St Mirren, in all seriousness looking back at the game I feel we deserved to get a point out of it but in football you get what you get. Can blame referee's all we want but if we don't score that's our fault. Ref is still a major shitey arse mind you but that's neither here nor there.

I think that as both sides had ample opportunities to put the ball in the back of the net and never took them, then that's a far healthier way to look at things. I might take the piss out of Yogi but he's certainly getting a better tune out of County than Kettlewell did. I completely understand the frustration of seeing the momentum up the table dampened a little by such a small margin. Both sets of fans are no strangers to the relegation dogfight and know what a prisoner every single point is.

FWIW, I actually agree with @Comrie when it comes to whataboutery regarding referee's. A decision in a previous game, or worse a decision in a game that involved another side, shouldn't factor into this game. I hate the "it evens itself out over the season" bullshit. It's much better to look at your side's chances and mull them over rather than focus on contentious refereeing. Not because referees can't make honking decisions, heh.. we all know that they most certainly can, but in terms of things you can change or control then that lies within your team.

On a side note it feels like we’ve hardly had a penalty this season , I suppose you actually have to be in the box to win a penalty

ETA we have had two (joint lowest in league) and they both came back in august , Ross Stewart scoring both 🥺

Aye, but this decision is clearly okay due to the referee incorrectly sending off Alex Keddie against Caley away one time when he clearly won the ball.

FWIW I though Schalk's dive was a laughable one, still astonished he wasn't booked for simulation.

Yes but St Mirren getting that penalty robbed Ross County of 3 points....................in Yogi’s mind 😛

I would have to agree though that a draw would have been a pretty fair result.
