Those numbers will have a serious impact on potential season ticket sales I imagine.

More of an issue for Rangers Celtic, but even at Hibs you would only have a 1 in 5 chance of getting in if that 2000 was accurate.

One thing I forgot to add when I posted the picture which now seems quite important in the context after the views you folks replied with.

Those are the bog standard set of rules but there is the ability to apply for additional via local authorities. I presume from local health board or council (not sure) but thats basically whats happened to allow the fans at the Euros.

More info of the fact the 2000 could be increased even while in tier 0.

Just heard Leitch explain that if Scotland reaches tier 0 like detailed above those 2000 fans will definitely be allowed without specific permission. As long as they're following the rules etc of course.

This needs shouted from the roof tops by clubs looking to sell season tickets. Especially for the smaller clubs.

Bigger clubs can then go through a process of asking for approval for more that'll be looked at on a case by case basis while we work towards no distancing etc.

There is going to be a huge number of people turning up at Ibrox on the 15th May. Going to be interesting to see the reaction to it.

If the JRG/ScotGov/Police Scotland triumvirate of doom wanted to do something practical about it, they should probably consider setting up some kind of outdoor event at the stadium.

Even if there's no "official" event  what happens will effectively be that anyway?

They won't activity stop it from happening (I don't think they should try as it just causes more aggro). Folk will gather give it laldy and go home like the day Rangers won the league.

I haven't exactly followed it closely but when they won the league there wasn't exactly a spike in the end was there and so using some basic theory it's less likely now due to lower infections...

We'll soon find out.

It likely will be, but if you organise something officially, you can mitigate some of the risks if you wanted to. Not that the risks are significant anyway, but if you wanted to you could.

Its not being reported here by the media outlets but it has already been green lit here from 17th May. (as long as the area goes into tier 2)

for 12 men and their dog. (500 with the ability to apply for more which I imagine most clubs could get).

Whats that got to do with it?

The government aren't planning the whole tier system and "reopening" based on the football season dates.

Well observed.

Doesn't change the fact the the tier system and fan number isnt dictated by the dates this season does or doesnt end.

What does need explained again though it seems is the Gov have already announced the number of fans that will be allowed, including what it'll likely look like when next season starts because they've advised the numbers already that will be allowed. Which was done weeks ago.

Nor does it change the fact that I am perfectly entitled to vent my frustration that it means bugger all impact this season in terms of allowing crowds in. Despite the fact 100 if not 1000s can happily mix in indoor shopping malls. Go figure....

No need for a response.....although I expect one 🤷‍♂️

The indoor mixing in shopping centres (not malls!), and other indoor places, has been explained multiple times by multiple people across multiple forums.

If folk aren't getting it at this stage then they are doing so deliberately.

I get that folk understand the reasons given and disagree, but how can anyone still not know why it is as it is?
