Purely based on his performances against the Dons would say Siegrist is best of the rest. You had Danny Ward at Aberdeen, Craig Gordon at Celtic, Scott Bain was good for Dundee, Michael McGovern at Hamilton, Neil Alexander at Hearts, Tomas Cerny at Partick, and we had Alan Mannus. Even the shit ones like Jamie MacDonald for Kilmarnock and Scott Fox at County were arguably better than both clubs current occupants. Fon Williams at ICT, Ripley at Motherwell, and Dundee United keepers (Zwick/Kawashima) the low points. Fultons score is harsh but its all relative, hes above both Gary Woods and Fon Williams for them over the past 2 season. FTOF Posted February 21, 2021 Share Posted February 21, 2021 (edited) When Hladky left us, we thought we'd never replace him. However, Alnwick has been just as good. Stats don't tell the whole story. For example, it's extremely unlikely that any 'keeper could have saved the last two goals we have conceded. Some of the saves he has made this season have been superb and won us the points. The double save v Ross County is one that springs to mind. The only real blot on his copybook, was the rush of blood when he hacked down Boyle. However, it was a shockingly bad pass back, so there were mitigating circumstances. 100% percent happy with him as our 'keeper. Laidlaw would be a passable back up but a top flight #1 he is not.
