Hibs vs Accies

Recommended Posts

A Martin out, so Odoffin is v likely to drop back into defence leaving our midfield badly exposed.

I’d take another draw just now but I think we’ll get brought back down to Earth with a 3-0 defeat without a shot on target and headsgone on WAH. While Killie finally get over their Aberdeen hump.

Tough game for us. Hibs in good form at home. We have pulled wins from nowhere before at Easter road so there is some hope and we are in good form but I would defo take a point here!

Looks like big Martin is out for us at the back so likely Zidane, sorry Oddofin, will move into defence with Scott Martin coming into midfield.

Hopefully Anderson, Ogi and Callaghan continue to work well up top and we carry some threat.

Hibs at full strength?

Aaron Martin was the one organising our defence but out injured for this one at least.

While Odoffin is mostly likely to be the one filling in at CB - with Want back in squad but unlikely to start - he has proved this season to be more effective at DM.

Which means Scott Martin will probably start in midfield, in itself not a bad thing as he can actually be an effective midfielder - something Hughes & Stirling are not - but he is very much a loose cannon on the park a lot of the time.

Our recent record against Hibs doesn't inspire confidence.
Which all points towards a home win & Scott Martin to get a least a booking against his old club.

Would be very happy with a point if we can get it.

This is a great opportunity for Accies. County & Killie should lose, meaning any points whatsoever are a bonus.

Of our remaining games, this and the game v Aberdeen are the freebies. Go and win one (or both) of them and it's huge. Lose both, however, and no one bats an eyelid.

1-1

These are the types of games we're supposed to win but we've never been great when expectations are high and our home form has been patchy .  A scrappy  2-1 victory would do nicely though and hopefully the curse of Joel Sked picking us a s his banker won't affect the fixture

Joel Sked giving us the kiss of death on AVFTT last night aswell.

Sked really wants us to lose, but his bank or bust record has been so bad he had to pick us to win (to lose).....

so hopefully a Hibs win will twist his melon out of shape

Yeah this will be a slog. Off the back of three high-intensity matches, missing a key defender and subsequently our main defensive midfielder. If County and Killie didn't have tough games then I'd say we just need to get through this without any injuries.
