Heart of Midlothian v Greenock Morton

Recommended Posts

Understandable lack of interest in this, but, looking on the bright side, McElhone should just look on it as a total freebie.

Time to get three bodies in the middle of the park; those bodies should be Jacobs, Lyon, and Colville; then Nesbitt and Johnson either side in a 4-5-1.

Don’t care who plays in front of that, but it would seem daft to bring Sterling in and not give him a start in what is essentially a preparation game.

Would be nice to score a goal.

3-1 Hearts.

Could see Irving or Halliday being left out,.mind.

No way Halliday misses a game against Morton, he lives for them.

Scrappy boring game again i think. Might not bother watching it

No doubt we'll try to make it a scrappy game , but we don't have midfielders physical and energetic enough or defenders competent enough to actually succeed in doing it the way Queen of the South did. You're probably right that it still won't be worth watching but you should be able to overpower us easily enough.

Having just made that post saying we don't have the presence in midfield to make this difficult for Hearts even with our best team on the pitch, I see we've announced the team and one of the few players who can actually provide some energy in there in Lyon is going to be sitting on the bench while the ever anonymous Blues is starting. Madness.
