The January Meh-ctacular- Killie v Saints - 30/1/21

Recommended Posts

Is Ross Millen likely to play centre half for this?

I'd say it's possible, but also Dabo was described as being able to play centre-back when we signed him. I'm also not sure whether any of Broadfoot, Findlay, Dikamona or Dicker could be back.

Days like this when you haven't been up for the game all week but when you hear the tannoy on approach to the ground, the buzz kicks in. Definitely getting fed up of behind closed doors now.

A win would be massive and you need to take advantage when the opposition is weakened.

Would have been fine with him wanting to give Middleton a start in the 5-2-3 today (instead of Melamed) but team looks good to go.

This is where some of us look even more clueless as we get a drubbing with this side after complaining about the last two starting teams.

Theres definitely an irony in him moving away from 5-2-3 when we finally come up against whats presumably a 4-4-2, considering how the second half v Hibs went.

Wotherspoon could potentially find himself unmarked a lot though...

Yep. Manager picks the fan's team (would maybe have Craig in for Davidson but not complaining), going to be interesting.

Suppose its nice to look at the respective benches and feel like we've got a better selection to change a match we're losing.

Everything getting set up for us to be pumped.

Oh no, this is the day everyone agrees on the line-up and we get pumped isn’t it?

Not only that, but our opponents playing a team missing several of their better players including their preferred central defenders. Absolutely screams Killie win...

Difference is you have a manager who is tactically able to look at his bench and make changes.

if we go behind we wait until 60/70 mins then just through on an extra striker. Our complete inability to change tactically during a game is infuriating.

It's also a good bench to kill a game and  hold a lead.

2-1 incoming, Killie coming back from a goal down.

Saw a stat saying we're 3 wins and a draw in the last 4 matches with Kilmarnock.  Complete turnaround from 2 years ago under Clarke when they seemed to get the better of us every game.

Agree with widge about Oakley, we've often struggled to cope with the physical side of his game.

Looking forward to it, 3 points required today Saints.
