Are these new clubs that will play a level below the conferences or are these u20s teams?

I read Development League in this context to maybe imply clubs not having 100% of the requirements for facilities etc, but allows them time to achieve this in a recognised pyramid division. So not U20s.

im sure there is broomhill sports club in greenock aswell could be them

There's a Broomhill AFC but they're literally a Sunday league team. Broomhill pitch is just a caged all-weather facility and couldn't be enclosed in any way.

Many congratulations to WOSFL for getting the Development League initiative up and running in such a short space of time. In particular thanks to parkcircus for keeping us so well informed. I have been derided by some forum members that the Development Division would not happen in such a short time-frame. Well here we are with the new initiative being delivered in the space of under three months. Perhaps we are seeing an innovative template that the EOSFL might eventually follow but I do accept that the circumstances are a little different in the East.

I cannot help smile at the thought of Harthill trading trips to Tweedmouth and Coldstream for trips to Campbeltown. It should be a great day out for them and their supporters. I will be visiting Campbeltown in a couple of weeks but I doubt that I will be lucky enough to take in a game while I am there.

That’s correct, clubs will be given a set amount of time and milestones to meet for the ground Criteria, if they fail to meet them then they won’t be accepted to go forward to the AGM and the league proper, which will be Div 3.

Clubs that achieve the ground criteria within the season will be put forward to the AGM at the end of the season.

For us non-weegies, can anyone fill in locations for some of these, and home grounds?   I wonder if Harthill regret their decision.

Think Finnart play at Glasgow Green and Harmony Row is more Braehead than Govan.
