Around end of May I’ll be doing the final visits so the league can announce it then. But we do cover the whole of the West of Scotland and teams won’t be rejected on location or travel distance. Wick Academy were happy to include the Tayside teams into the Highland setup which might include midweek games. No League games will be scheduled for mid-week if the Clubs are more than 110 miles apart unless the Clubs concerned are mutually agreeable. Also think ratification by the clubs on the Midland League as a feeder is something that won't happen until the HL's AGM so Wick may not hold the opinion that is being ascribed to them. According to the "Non League Paper" a major restructuring of the English pyramid, is to be considered by the (English) Football Association, involving non league league football, at steps 4-6, at its' AGM in June this year. In brief, its proposals include :(i) one new division will be created at non-league Step 4, (ii) two new divisions at Step 5, (iii) a reduction by one, in the number of divisions at Step 6 , and (iv) 110 existing non league clubs, will be 'promoted' to a higher Step, within the existing pyramid) in Steps 4 to 6. In addition, 30 additional clubs will be invited to join the pyramid at Steps 4-6, from local regional leagues, in order to fill vacancies caused by clubs moving up the pyramid.. The onus is now on the SFA to approve three additional pyramid leagues: North Juniors, North Caledonian League, and the 'Midland' League, at its' own 2021 AGM. It is time for decisive action, and like England proposes, implement its' new structure, in time for 2021/22. . Now that there is a WoS option in the pyramid surely you would imagine any new entrant to the SoS would have to have a connection/closeness to their general catchment, and they don't want to just become a WoS rejects league.
