Aberdeen v Motherwell

Recommended Posts

Can't imagine many of our support are looking forward to this.

Motherwell have a handy record at Pittodrie too.

I suspect we'll have numerous players out of this fixture due to injury: Leigh, McCrorie, Taylor, Devlin, Hayes and McGeouch.

For me, we need to change to a back four again. 3-4-3 hasn't worked for us since the injury of Watkins and the Main/Cosgrove partnership has never paid off. Assuming the above players are missing, I think we'll go along the lines of:

Lewis

Logan, Hoban, Considine, Ngwenya

Ferguson, Campbell

Kennedy, Hedges, McLennan

Main

Given our current state of affairs, it's hard to think of a worse game coming up than this one.

I think all of the next four games coming up have a chance of being equally honking for us. The Livi double bill in particular fills me with dread considering how we’re playing.

We need the points and you need Derek out.

So let’s just agree and get behind Alexander the Great’s conquest of the North-East.

1-0 Motherwell

Look, we're still perfectly capable of trying our hardest and getting gubbed by Motherwell. No pre-game agreements necessary.

It's Aberdeen though, so 3-0 Well.

This has been a really weird fixture for the past few years - that 3-0 earlier in the season and the one where Danny Johnson scored a double at Fir Park and we also won 3-0 were totally out of the blue. Similarly, Aberdeen absolutely hammered us 3-0 at Fir Park in Oct 2019 in what most folk thought would be a close one as we were on good form at the time.

That's a fairly depressing line-up.

Ngewnya looked like a little boy lost v County

Pivotal game this, for AFC. Vultures are already circling around McInnes, another shit display and result and he’s under major pressure.
