Next to no one there is interested in their own leagues.

Captain Saintsible
Liverpool have another young right back, Conor Bradley, still only 18 Made 5 first team appearances last season and has 8 caps for Northern Ireland. Ramsay faces a bit of competition to become TAA’s understudy……

He'll be punted out on loan to some diddy team.

They wouldn’t have spent that much on Ramsey if they rated Bradley tbf Edited June 21, 2022 by Captain Saintsible

Bishop Briggs
Ryan Fredericks has left West Ham and signed for Bournemouth on a free. He's still eligible for Scotland but makes too many defensive mistakes imho. Hopefully, Moyes will now give Ashby more game time this season.

Gordopolis
We need to spunk out a couple of quality forwards Yep. Up front has to be the longest-running frustration we've had. Since Miller & McFadden (both decent) and certainly since McCoist (our last real quality #9), we've had cracking options in just about every other area of the park. It'd be so satisfying to have an all-round, regular goalscorer emerge.I like Dykes, but he's never going to be our Lewandowski. Adams can be a cut above too, though too hit and miss.Ross Stewart and Jacob Brown still feel like very grey options. Stewart starting strongly in the Championship though, which augurs well.

Will play all of the European campaign.
Detournement
Ashby looks like the most rounded player out of the 4 young right backs. Good on the ball and probably a better defender than Paterson and Ramsay at the moment.
immcinto
Why is Scotland producing so many full-backs, in contrast to every other position on the pitch? Is it just a statistical fluke? Are the JD Performance schools creating a particular type of player?

A Tier 2 striker is the difference between us being a team capable of qualifying every other tournament, and one that is a 1/4 side. There are any number of French, Germany, or English forwards who have auxiliary roles with their national teams but who would score a bucket load for us. It's any wonder why we can't even create third tier international forwards. It's a shame that Adams just isn't quite clinical enough. Staying fit and healthy he should manage 15 goals, but he strikes me as another Kenny Miller who will score fairly regularly, but will never bang in a hat trick. Is it just a statistical fluke? Are the JD Performance schools creating a particular type of player? The former I would think. Of the current emerging fullbacks/wingbacks, two came through the Performance Schools (Ramsay and Patterson), two didn't (Ashby, Doig). Of the established fullbacks none did (Robertson, Tierney, Hickey, O'Donnell, Ralston, Taylor). If you look at the best PS players (IMO), there is representation breaking through into the professional game in most positions, the notable absences being forwards (there are some very good ones coming through though) and goalkeepers. Fullbacks: Ramsay, Patterson, Centrebacks: Kerr Smith, Leon King, Liam Morrison Midfield: Gilmour, Alex Lowry, Connor Barron Forwards: Rory MacLeod, Dire Mebude, Ben Doak, Rory Wilson
