Zapp Brannigan
Caught the game last night. Was a good watch! Dundee should have won but I was very impressed with Arbroath. Having read Dick Campbell's take earlier in the week about "modern" football, it was refreshing to see him set his team up to play football and be competitive in a way all fans of every team want. Arbroath in reality shouldn't be able to compete with Dundee and most teams in the division but there they are. Enormous credit has to go to Campbell for that
Mexico
As I said, he played well. However, Gaston, for instance, hardly put a foot wrong. and kept us in the game on a couple of occasions. Ricky played well too, and scored a decent goal. TOB rescued us at the end when he wasn't the favourite to win the ball etc, etc. Maybe it's just my complete total and utter bias against the Old Firm. I hope that Ben wins me over in the next few games.Gaston made a good save but his kicking was horrendous, gave the ball to the opposition on numerous occasions.
Den Spark
Always liked the Arbroath centre back pairing of Little and O'Brien. Little's not the tallest for a central defender but he reminds me of Barry Smith.
Girth
I watched this sober last night. Need a few foams tonight to forget it. I do hope Arbroath stay up mind.

Tbf, I doubt Hamilton, Ross County or St Johnstone would either at Gayfield. Up to a certain point the skill levels in this country seem to plateau imo.
This Charming Man
Refreshing not to hear anyone complain about a pitch at this time of the year. Top marks to the Gayfield grounds person/s last night.

I thought it was idiotic to set up 4-4-2 against a Dundee team who are all about working round Adam in a middle three... Dundee’s (McPake’s) limitations let him off the hook. They could and should have been out of sight by half-time.
stan3600
But they weren’t and Adam didn’t create much.
Hammerafc
But they weren’t and Adam didn’t create much. I've seen his dad have many a better game at gayfield but everything dangerous from Dundee went through him most of the time.

Also the battle of the Windmill Hotel the Hilltoon **** got a spanking. Good night, 36-0. Well done Punk, this gave me the biggest laugh I've had on this forum in a long time. Was at every league/cup game between the clubs in the 70s and can only imagine the sands of time have clouded your memory or maybe all the doings you had from the Derry boys have scrambled your brains. Gull slags Dundee fashionistas, oh my sides are sair

AFC360PUNK1320
Dundee FC are a BIG club and the peh-munchers slag the Red Lichties = do not make me laugh lol Where were your covers for your pitch yesterday? Were they down,? Do you not have under soil heating? SO in the last year you have had PUDDLEGATE when you was supposed to play the Red Lichties at home during a heat wave, and now numerous HARDPITCHGATE's whilst other "lesser" clubs in the same area can get their games on no problemo.................. FARCE! 36-0.
