Trogdor
Let's not starting frothing at the mouth because of the game maybe being off. Given the time of year and the temperatures its not exactly a surprise.
itzdrk
Aye just don't buy it until you know it's on.

callum-ayr
Is there any sort of inspection* planned? Surely we’re not expected to f**k about travelling (which is an expense in itself) about the country when pitches aren’t in any fit state to be played on? What is the weather actually like around the ground just now *Not that it really matters as the morning inspectors clearly don’t know what they’re doing.
DA Baracus
There's no talk of a pitch inspection and the club have been pretty active on social media this week, including yesterday, pushing this game. Reading between the lines, the pitch is fine and there's no doubt over the game. Don't know what the weather is like is Dunfermline.

Renton says the beach is frozen but the layer of snow covering East End during the week has hopefully protected it. HMIP
You’d honestly think this was the first time in history that football games have been called off in the middle of winter due to a frozen park. Ironic after all the chat about a brief Covid shutdown - the weather has done it for us. Don’t think Ayr have played since jan 2nd.

A little common sense should play a part, our team of around 20-30 players and staff will have set off by the time this inspection finishes. Surely an inspection should have been arranged earlier.

You can get to Dunfermline from Ayr in about an hour and a half.

You’d think we’re travelling the Burma Road to get to the game - it’s only Dunfermline FFS. The buses will already be booked, so it’s not like we’ll save any money be cancelling at the last minute.
CallumPar
I believe we turned the USH on earlier this week and have no real concerns regarding the pitch. The club fully expect the game to be on today.
itzdrk
It'll be quite costly if Dunfermline don't manage to get this on after a couple days of USH use.
