Football by Film
Hello everyone, i have been asked to write an article for an upcoming magazine piece and I’m looking at focussing on Scottish Football’s iconic pie huts/refreshment stands around the grounds! I’ve already got the iconic pie hut from Arbroath but where else do you think should feature and can anyone help with access to take some photos at them? Thanks

steakngravy
East Stirling before they moved out of Firs Park had a pie hut that sold freshly made pakoras and other Indian delights. My team Raith were playing there in an early season cup game and it was the only time I had the chance to visit and savour these half-time delights.
cityloon
I mind a few years back at borough briggs the royal engineers had a wee catering tent up serving curry and rice with a naan bread for £1.50 was a bargain for the amount you got

Clayhole Blue
Don’t think there are too many ‘iconic’ ones, although there’s a really traditional one in the dusty old main stand at Starks which I kinda like. Also loved the old ‘canteen’ at Stranraer, but that disappeared 30 years ago. It had a lovely smell of pies and Bovril. Shame it’s been replaced by a van.
tamthebam
I might have some photos somewhere which I could post here Brechin and Forfar have old fashioned wooden huts. Elgin actually have two good examples at Borough Briggs (but only one sells chips!) And there are various examples in non League football- the hut at Sunnybank's Heathryfold comes to mind
