He’s physical enough and also good enough on the ball to fit into midfield. Having him there should allow Chalmers more freedom to get forward and also helps Murdoch out a bit who’s been out of sorts recently I’ve thought. As for McKenzie I think we’re now at the stage of throwing him in and hoping he can score a few goals. He can hold the ball up well enough but whether he’s able to link up with McCowan and Walsh is enough question. I think Dundee and Ayr are kind of in the same boat in that if we were going to bin our managers, it should have been done earlier in the season. This is really a relegation 6 pointer, win we go level with Dundee, lose, we drop 6 points behind top 4 and could be cut adrift over 8th/9th.
