rb123!
Yeah makes me think there's a disagreement or differing of opinion between teams/officials i would suggest

Bigmouth Strikes Again
Just now, The Derry said: What a state to get yourselves in. Was away to say that, a bunch of highly strung dim-wits, this ayr mob.
D'Jaffo
Our chairman has pretty much confirmed it on Twitter.
rb123!
Apparently media are standing outside and won't be let in, so are presuming it's off
rb123!
Dundee begging for every possible chance, hence no official confirmation, looks like the bit which had no grass on it last week is too soft and unplayable according to match referee, some junior diddy referee obviously did it this morning or rain has fallen since. Ian Robb from AU Media saying Ayr players are away off, peak scottish banter if they had to do another u-turn back to Dens for a later kick off Edited January 16, 2021 by rb123!
HMIP
In all fairness, with the challenges facing the game, the referee should make every effort to help get the match on. Edited January 16, 2021 by HMIP

rb123!
Take your pick on who to believe, one side says it's off other side says there could be delayed kick off. IMO it doesn't look too bad, seen worst waterlogged when it's literally a puddle on top, that just looks like soft mud, if it was junior level it would be roll your sleeves up and get on with it, should be the same there ffs. Played in well worse Stranraer away where the ball was stopping dead

The Master
If a local ref said the pitch was playable this morning then questions need to be asked as to his competence. Passing an inspection would mean no further (or at least no serious) work would have been done on the affected section. Had it failed with another planned, the ground staff could have done what was needed to get the game on. Edit: assuming it’s not the match ref being an arse. In which case, surely there’s a procedure for a second inspection if clubs disagree with the officials? rb123!
Looks feck all wrong with it to me, have to wonder why the BBC journo hasn't been sent home yet, honestly wouldn't surprise me if this gone ahead at like 3:30 or 4 after Ayr players are forced to come back
ryanayr1987
That’s a complete joke! Really think this could be played later

HMIP
Sounds like Ayr have made the decision for them. I’d put money on it just being a tosspot referee looking to show off a bit.
Dee Bliss
There looks like there’s not much wrong with this. We either want the games on and played to keep the season ticking on and keep a bit of sanity in our lives or we just call the game a bogey. What fuckwit of a ref called this unplayable. Hate how soft our game has turned.
RedEd
Hard to tell from a picture at distance. You really have to standing in or walking through the affected area. Perhaps the kick-off could have been delayed, but there is no indication how long the delay would be.
rb123!
Considering the ref David Munro looks like he's on his work experience i'm not surprised it's off, a more experienced ref would have probably got on with it -
