Alternatively, let's just vote the Old Firm as our representatives for the play-offs and get rid of one of them. It’s not random though is it? Kelty are currently top of the LL, added to the fact they were last years champions who were denied a play off, I would say that makes them far from random.

Record reporting that the splits would be 6:4, which would mean 23 games for the top six and 21 for the bottom four. Both look hard to fit in given the number of weeks that will have been lost by the time games restart. Dunning1874
The split idea is just complete insanity. 27 games isn't possible while 18 allows some free midweeks in the calendar if there are any further issues leading to postponements; why introduce a pointless split to play to 22 games, cramming the schedule to breaking point again for no apparent reason and a less balanced fixture list? The only realistic options are 18 games or null and void.

The non leagues aren’t being allowed to re start and it’s already March so nobody can come up anyway. How teams felt about the pandemic in January and how they feel now in March are completely unrelated. A lot happens in a short time with this pandemic and situations change regularly throughout the last year. I couldn’t give a crap where any team finishes in any league this season. No fans and not getting to games makes it all totally pointless to me. I have a season book at Central Park and I couldn’t even tell you half the players names. On a personal note,, why am I sitting in the house unable to work due to restrictions, while half of these ‘professionals’ are going to 2 separate employments? Your club have had a shitshow of a season and realise they won't have enough games to reach promotion play offs, happy to write it off now and start again, saving heaps of money in the process. The shitehawks way out after signing up to complete a season. You can't work so others shouldn't even if it's safe to do so? Nae bother.
Hampden Diehard
Still a few D2 clubs in the Cup which will take away Saturdays for the league. Unless there's a keenness to play 27 games (which I understand there is), play 18 and start next year more or less as per normal. I don't see fans being in this season anyway, so let's get it out the way.

I'd guessed you were referring to that but it says nothing like what you implied. the important bit of this rule is in bold which you've conveniently ignored.

We are only 5 points off 4th but no we aren't pushing for promotion. We are very much in danger of being relegated. Yet, Dumbarton released a statement the other night saying they were delighted that the go ahead has been given and we'll be back training as soon as we can. That's because we're a football club who signed up to play football this season and we're good guys who are true to their word. Do you want to have another go?

craigkillie
In the same way that the SPFL would be "holding things back" if they decided to play an 800 game season that extended into 2087. Any change needs approval.
