spalding 156 Report post Posted January 2 Just now, gaz5 said: Hagi is a seriously under rated player. Aribo likes to work with contact, till players, back himself physically, which is fine till he comes up against better players at that game like today. Roofe is similar. Hagi plays the majority of his game out of contact. The timing of his movements into pockets of space his opponent doesn't want to go into then his use of the ball when he gets in there is better than anything else Rangers have. Rangers really poor, but fair play to Gerrard, that change at half time changed the dynamic and helped Rangers get up the park second. Even before the sending off it was a far more even game. Spot on.
dorlomin 2,965 Report post Posted January 2 I wonder if Celtic will be thanking BEIN Sports (Dubai based) for so frequently mentioning their trip to Dubai? Must make their fans glad they are getting away to Dubai.

AmericanFan 285 Report post Posted January 2 1 minute ago, Mr. Alli said: Kudos, again, to Gerrard for taking off Roofe and replacing him with Hagi. Changed the whole dynamic of that game and with that - sealed the league for Rangers you'd have to imagine. I'm not buying this narrative yet. There's still two more head-to-head matchups between the two, and a performance like that could easily see Rangers lose to Aberdeen and Hibs or draw against one of the other 8 if they play their A game. Celtic seems to be playing better than a month ago, while Rangers obviously isn't (that's not a dig, as it would have been impossible to keep that form they had from August through November for the whole year).
Bairnardo 29,308 Report post Posted January 2 (edited) Celtic fans now understand that no shots on target at home doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. Edited January 2 by Bairnardo

You’re very wise. And bang on - we’re in the middle of a performance slump here. It needs to be arrested quickly.

HibsFan 8,880 Report post Posted January 2 The arrogance of those c***s swanning off to Dubai in the middle of a pandemic, presumably because they felt they'd need a rest after grinding out a win at Ibrox.
oneteaminglasgow 2,348 Report post Posted January 2 Duffy gets all the attention, and deservedly so, but that Laxalt boy is a hilariously dreadful footballer. I know he’s the boo boy, but surely Greg Taylor is a better option?

That was more aimed at the folk who thought it was a challenge worthy of a red on it's own, rather than where on the park it was. Which a good few folk clearly thought was the case.
Romeo 7,077 Report post Posted January 2 Thought unnecessary international travel from Scotland was illegal... or is this necessary to escape the hordes that will assemble outside Parkhead tonight? I wonder if Celtic will be thanking BEIN Sports (Dubai based) for so frequently mentioning their trip to Dubai? Must make their fans glad they are getting away to Dubai. Their team has effectively just won their 1st title and what are they posting about? Rent free right enough.Congratulations to all my sevco pals on here. But especially Bennet who stuck with it every single time, I'd buy you a pint if Nicola let me.I'm away to cheer myself up.and watch that ripper documentary on Netflix.

Jinky67 621 Report post Posted January 2 That’s a sore one to take considering how dominant we were. Cant complain too much about the red card as I would have wanted it if it was the other way but such a stupid challenge to make. But the damage was done earlier in the season, not today. Today we paid for not taking chances and an individual mistake. C’est la vie
S7C 317 Report post Posted January 2 (edited) Bit unlucky today, but didn't get it done again and that's all that matters. What the f**k was Bitton thinking? NL really needs to walk now and let a new manager come in and prepare for next year. The 10 has been an obsession for too many for too long. A bit fed up of everything being about getting one up on them. Proper change is required and there's a lot of work to do before August. To be 19 points behind in January, regardless of games in hand, is pathetic given our budgetary advantage. Fucking off to Dubai just now is taking the piss too. R*ngers are top by merit, so can't complain with the standings. Happy new year... Edited January 2 by S7C
Day of the Lords 13,871 Report post Posted January 2 Rangers winning the league so easily this season is testament to Lennon's shortcomings as a manager. He's taken under 2 years to completely dismantle an excellent, utterly dominant side put together by Rodgers and returned Celtic to their levels of mid-90s chumpery. An utterly ridiculous appointment by Celtic biting them on the arse in hilarious fashion.
