Gives everyone involved another full weeks rest I suppose. To be fair apparently it was 8 inches of snow according to our SLO

bennett
Don't we usually get told that these plastic carpets main benefit is that they aren't affected by the weather....

kingjoey
Not sure why some people insist on calling artificial surfaces “all weather” pitches. Never have been, never will be.
coprolite
I programmed the old tivo vcr to record this on alba to watch later. Only found out about the cancellation at 11. 15 pm when a documentary about some American musician came on, but no football. Watched Carry on Screaming instead. It was quite good.

"Kilmarnock FC, you admitted to breaching guidelines that are in place specifically to keep people safe during the spread of a deadly virus throughout the globe, wha--" "-- aye but it snowed in Livingston and the SFA referee decided the pitch was too frozen to play on"The match was not forfeited because we breached the guidelines. Other clubs breached the guidelines and were not awarded forfeits. The reason the match was awarded 3-0 was because we failed to fulfil a fixture as a result of us breaching the rules. Livingston have also failed to fulfil a fixture, and if they are shown to have breached the rules by not having adequate pitch protection then they would surely be in the same boat.

Fucking hell sounds like you’re desperate for it Matches get called off, it happens. The stadium is in a valley and parts of the pitch get zero sunlight, they had to clear the snow all the way up to a few hours before the game. Namely one reason being that the layer of snow insulated the pitch further against the formation of ice. Livi are in absolutely no danger and the game will just get rescheduled. *Worse yet I’ve just saw you’re a Killie fan so who knows Edited December 31, 2020 by ATLIS
