Watched the 1st episode today.

Initial thoughts are that is is very enjoyable drama. I have kind of missed my fix of Narcos / Narcos Mexico and this looks like it will fill in quite nicely.

Special mention to the scene that is a nod to Hannibal 😱🤮

Only one episode in so far. Plenty of Gomorra-esque good stuff. Looks incredible. Puts most movies, never mind tv shows to shame with the design and cinematography. Score sounds just like Mokadelic.

Believe it was Mogwai that done the score, its very atmospheric, much like the music in Gomorra.

I've got 2 episodes to go and really enjoying it the Mexican/Italian parts especially the lyndmans sections are a bit far fetched but still enjoyable if a bit slower hopefully renewed for a good few seasons

The Vampiros are very similar to Enzo’s gang in Gomorrah (season 3 I think). More like something from a gothic horror than a regular crime show.

Pretty good, not as good as Gomorrah but it has the same feel.
can’t connect with the characters as much but comparing it to Gomorrah is unfair and it’s a good watch.

Thought that too but without spoilers, by the end it’s whittled down to three (or four😉?) folk teed up for the next season that are maybe a bit more distinct.

Shame. Would happily have a show just following the Mexican headcases. I know you’re not meant to like folk that go about dragging folk off buses and executing them en-masse but Manuel was quite the lad.

Me and the missus binge-watched this over a couple of nights the week before last. Thought it was brilliant and superbly cast.

Would never have guessed “Emma” was portrayed by Geordie lass Andrea Riseborough. Never heard of or seen her before watching this but an absolute wid regardless, as is “Amina” played by Nabinha Akkari.

Expected a lot more of Gabrielle Byrne though.
