Aberdeen v St Johnstone -Boxing Day

Feels like we aren’t really getting much help from officiating teams recently, what with that penalty and Kerr’s overly harsh red against St Mirren the other day. Both just before half time in games we were leading too.

Hibs at McDiarmid too. Two players pulling each other and the ref gives them a pen, after disallowing our goal for offside despite it being yards onside.

That's a disgraceful decision. Cosgrove falls over in the box and the ref was determined to give a penalty after Aberdeen's screaming for a penalty when the ball hit Callum Booth's back 10 seconds earlier.

46 minutes gone, we just had to get the ball clear then go in at the interval ahead.

Really harsh on Saints, absolutely dominated that first half with probably our most competent display throughout the team of the season.  Zander producing the goods.

Hopefully we can put that behind us and get right back on top after the break.  Only concern is you feel Aberdeen can't be that bad again.

Liam Craig could have been sent off there.

Yellow for his ape like behaviour towards the ref.
Second yellow for looking like a malnourished sexual offender.

No fucking wonder he's going mental.

Referee has just imagined something in his head. Nothing happened whatsoever.

Yeah I think a lot of teams like to get the crowd on our back early doors. Makes sense as all you need to do is win a throw in in our half before the first collective ‘FUCKSAKE ABERDEEN’ can be heard.

Glad to see things haven't changed in the last 47 years...

Feel there are plenty of examples through the season but I do tend to subscribe to the “evening out” theory (though not including the old firm in that). But just these last few games where we’ve been out of form and needing a result some questionable refereeing decisions have came at really bad times and really harmed us imo. E.g no/v little chance we lose at St Mirren with 11 men

Ref using his imagination and claiming there was an elbow?

Aye, about 30 seconds after signalling it was a shirt pull he was claiming it was an elbow.

Absolutely pathetic, but again, Scottish refs are like this.

St Johnstone’s free kick that led to their goal was as dubious as the penalty.

Yes, a free kick 30 yards out, almost on a touchline, is comparable to a penalty.

Evened itself out already IMO.
