It'll be interesting to see how Arbroath Vs Falkirk and Alloa Vs Cove go in the cup this weekend. How much of a gulf, if any, is there between the top of L1 and the bottom of the championship? Guess we'll see.

Cove had a mixed start to the season and not really played to their potential yet. Lacking some squad depth so hopefully we recruit well in the January window.

There isn't much between the top teams in league 1 and the bottom teams in the championship. Its not surprising that every team that's came up since Brechin has done decent. I mentioned Brechin because we were the shambles that were relegated by them, before anyone else mentions it.

It seems that way between L2 and L1 to be fair as well. For the likes of Cove who are new to L1 it will be a welcome challenge to play against Championship opposition in Alloa who will most likely start as favourites.

I remember that season well when Brechin got promoted to the championship. Raith have started this season well and play good attacking football; seems quite a promising time. Kai Kennedy maybe joining on loan would bolster the squad even further.

Morton to continue their trend of the past few seasons of flitting between blind optimism of sneaking a promotion playoff place and full blown relegation crisis on almost a weekly basis.

Delete as appropriate each week.

Bump.

The only thing that seems likely to stop what is now the weakest squad in the division from plummeting down the table is Inverness getting snowed in to the point that John Robertson gets mauled by a stray polar bear and they have to forfeit all of their postponed matches 3-0.

Expect some to point out we are 3 points off either playoff, but agree, we look fucked.

it's usually Morten that relegate Ayr, so it's pleasing to have gotten that shit out of the way early. A new manager will hopefully build a bit of momentum towards the end as the thought of needing something in Inverness on the last day doesn't bear thinking about.

Careful now, our next 4 fixtures are Raith away, Hearts away, Dundee away, Raith home!

league one pish, have-it-in-the-bag pish, regular pish, league one pish. The sort of thing you'd expect a new manager to tackle.

The only team Morton are capable of relegating this season are themselves.

Our last crumb of hope is that you appoint Hopkin to take you down.

Unfortunately looks like that is not going to happen

How on earth can our managerless shower of shite get a first win in about 17 games since December and end up sixth as a result?

Half of this league should just be liquidated at the end of this season.
