Ayr would be more likely to get a win at the Bernabeu than in Inverness. Inverness could quite easily be out of the playoffs before then if they lose( entirely possible) and Dunfermline win ( entirely possible) In which case its a dead rubber for Inverness against Ayr and increases your chances considerably. From a Morton perspective, we really need Inverness to still be in the hunt come the last day.

super_carson
So now between Ayr, Morton and Arbroath. If Arbroath win, Morton are 9th regardless of Ayr's result in Inverness. If Morton win, Ayr need at least a draw for Arbroath to finish 9th. If it's a draw, and Ayr draw at least in Inverness then Morton would be 9th.

qos_75
A bittersweet season is almost over and we have survived another season. That didn’t look remotely likely at the start of 2021, so well done to the team for turning it around. Having turned things around, we put ourselves in with a fighting chance of the promotion play-offs, but went right off the boil over the last month. Disappointing, but I would have bitten your hand off for survival on 1 January 2021. Roll on Season 2021/22.
TxRover
We did say 30 points to be safe this year, and lo and behold... On the bonus front, now ICT have absolutely nothing to play for unless they get down about 0-14 and Queens are winning...so that Ayr match looks a lot easier. The Morton vs Arbroath match has been on everyone’s radar for a few weeks now, and now it becomes the likely decider, how delicious.

Always the most realistic scenario, now all Queens fans can go put clean underwear on and let the rest of us see this through. I will go for an Ayr shagging at Inverness. While we only then need a draw problem is Arbroath will score at least 2 so Gus find us a player who knows where the net is. Get Fjortoft up front and Colville and Lyons in the middle. Dunning1874
If Ayr and Morton both lose then Ayr need to lose by six more, so eg if Morton lose 1-0 Ayr need to lose 7-0. That's obviously not going to happen, so you can pretty much say with certainty: Arbroath win - Arbroath 7th (6th if QoS lose), Ayr 8th, Morton 9th regardless of Ayr result Arbroath & Morton draw, Ayr win - Ayr 7th, Arbroath 8th, Morton 9th Arbroath & Morton draw, Ayr draw - Arbroath 7th, Ayr 8th, Morton 9th Arbroath & Morton draw, Ayr lose - Arbroath 7th, Morton 8th, Ayr 9th Morton win, Ayr win - Ayr 7th, Morton 8th, Arbroath 9th Morton win, Ayr draw - Morton 7th, Ayr 8th, Arbroath 9th Morton win, Ayr lose - Morton 7th, Arbroath 8th, Ayr 9th Edited April 24, 2021 by Dunning1874

While correct, Hertz have other influences and a much higher paid team, and thus have to show up. ICT have been hit or miss this year and now really have f**k all to fight for. As for the timeline, you may want to be more specific: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_involving_Iraq
RossBFaeDundee
For the neutral, this'll be fantastic drama next week. Might even buy Arbroath v Morton to watch simultaneously.

If Morton so much as draw Ayr are down. And historically, given the chance to relegate Ayr on the last day of the season, Morton take it every time. * if Ayr draw and Arbroath lose then they'll be in 9th by goal difference despite last week's hiding. This would be a miscarriage of justice on par with the Rodney King trial. Edited April 24, 2021 by Thumper

TxRover
Lets face the reality, Morton are 1-6-2 in their last nine. They've already lost to Arbroath once and tied them once. They don't have a chance in hell, so they'll win.
