Is this not a needle match, between the two chairman and a few Jags fans?

Anyway, we are fucking hopeless in defense, static in midfield and shot shy up front....

Again, can't see us scoring, will go for 1-0 to the Loons, og.

We discuss the Partick midfield in the latest episode. Needed to make that extra man in there count against Dumbarton, maybe more runs beyond from central areas needed. Could you crowbar Lyons into the middle to do that given that Penrice, Bannigan and Docherty are all relatively defensive-minded?

There’s definitely some ill will amongst some Thistle fans for everyone that didn’t vote the way we wanted them too.

It’s all a bit childish, but here we are.

The comedy there is that we voted to save ourselves as we were second bottom of League One at the time Leagues stopped. All other votes Forfar made would have seen Thistle in the second tier of Scottish Football, yet some of the comments on the Facebook page are Hearts levels of tears.

We didn't have an "extra midfielder" against Dumbarton.

We played 4-4-2 - the same as Dumbarton and the exact same formation and starting XI that we played against East Fife and Montrose previously.

Someone should probably tell Connor Murray he’s meant to be playing up front.

I was at your games against Montrose and East Fife. You were  4-5-1 (or 4-3-3 if you want to call it that) with Cardle right of Graham and Murray left. Hence extra man in centre of midfield.

Well, that's just wrong.

We set up and played a 4-4-2 in each of those matches as well as last week's match against Dumbarton.

James Penrice played as a left winger in each of those matches with Bannigan and Docherty in the centre of midfield with Joe Cardle on the right wing.

Connor Murray supported Brian Graham in the striking roles, he might have drifted a bit deep at times but at no point did he play on the left hand side and at no point were we playing anything other than a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1.

I’d argue it’s more the latter, last few weeks it’s definitely been a 4-4-1-1 with Murray just behind Graham, and sort of playing a free role just off him. But you’re totally correct with the rest there, it’s definitely been Penrice, LW (where he’s actually played pretty well) and Cardle RW with the 2 man midfield of Banzo and Doc (who have also been key to the clean sheet run that we’re on, in my opinion.)

Yeah on reflection that's fair enough. It looked a 4-4-2 attacking but interpreted it as a 4-5-1 off the ball. Murray did drift left a lot and Penrice came inside so at times it looked the latter, but essentially it's just numbers and bodies when the games at full tilt!

That's not to backtrack though, to be fair in attendance my focus has been on opposition both times, so touché sir.
