Ancelotti has left Everton, and the favourite for that job is Eddie Howe. Think he maybe heard the Everton job was coming up and fancied that instead?

By all accounts it’s NES that’s the clear favourite and is currently in talks with Everton according to Sky Sports, he’s also the one Moshiri wants

Think i'd rather have Maloney as the manager tbh

But as it stands

  • No manager
  • No DoF
  • Top managerial candidate not happening
  • Top DoF candidate not happening
  • Captain leaving
  • Top goalscorer leaving
  • Best defender leaving
  • No Head of Recruitment
  • No Head Scout

This is what they apparently call added value.

Will you move on?

too early to say anyone is the clear favourite for the Everton job, Ancelotti leaving was a bit of a quick development over the weekend. They only had a board meeting last night so doubt anyone is even in the early talks stage.

Clear based on last appointment that its Moshri calling the shots and signing the cheques. So more likely to be a NES, Big Name or young progressive coach. Apparently NES and family are homesick and going back.

Howe, Moyes, Martinez have all obviously been mentioned and would be the type of choice if Kenwright is still calling the shots, as he loves to bring a blue home. (arguably part of Everton's systemic problem - too much sentiment and "Everton" people around on the payroll)

They have a DoF in Marcel Brands but its never clear exactly how much input he has in managers and players either. He supposedly wanted Erik Ten Hag prior to Ancelotti being appointed.

The question is will Everton have a manager in place to start preparations for next season in place before Celtic?

The answer is most likely yes.

Most likely as Yokohama want someone in place to replace him before they let him go and secondly he will have to self isolate once in the country

Hadnt thought of that.

Wouldnt have thought that would be much of an issue at this stage since the players will all be off on holiday or at the Euros and meetings and scouting, etc, can be done via a laptop.

If it goes on any longer then that could be a huge, and frankly hilarious, issue though.

Yeah if its to be Ange then the sooner an appointment can be made the better to ensure his self isolation period is done prior to players coming back from Euros/Holiday

Wouldn’t this apply to him?

I know elite coaches of all sports were exempt if it was training camps or competition.

Not sure how it works in relation to coming here pre/post season to live.

Had a look at Phil's blog tonight. Poor man has tied himself in knots with his guesswork.

Morons still pay for his 'exclusives'.

Is he still a thing? Thought he just regurgitated his Sevco Stenography to ever diminishing returns.
