Celtic fan at my work has just pointed out that David Moyes hasn't signed a new contract at West Ham yet.....

You should've asked him why would Moyes want to move to a smaller club.

Would be disappointed to see Clarke take the job. Obvs, it's a great financial opportunity for him, both personally and in terms of players he could bring in, but his "bye, bye Celtic..  bye, bye, Rangers" speech earned him a certain amount of credibility amongst those who follow the provincial sides that I feel would be lost should he decide to take the "green pound".

Not all, many see Kennedy and Strachan as an integral part of the problem, performances aren’t very likely to improve as these clowns have been coaching them all season.

John Kennedy won’t be the permanent manager, you have had your free gift this season. I wouldn’t expect another

If Celtic keep the coaching situation in flux through May, then people absolutely will renew season tickets. There's a waiting list to replace the very small minority of fans that won't renew because John Kennedy is still there. Season tickets are a social thing for a lot of people, they don't need much convincing to renew.

Of the contenders listed, Kennedy makes the most sense:

Clarke - would have made him the favourite but the timing doesn't work. He almost certainly won't give up a crack at the Euros and the chance to become a national hero. Jumping for Celtic before that would make him the most hated manager in Scotland, and I don't think he could really handle that. Celtic need a manager well before July.

Howe - possible, but family circumstances mean it's unlikely. He's also said no to it already, or else he would have been in in November. Also, he's a renowned control freak, so if Celtic are serious about the sporting director role he isn't the man.

Roberto Martinez - maybe? Would be a bit left-field but I could see it.

Benitez - has already ruled himself out by saying he wants to go to a Premier League team.

All of the rest of the options on the bookies list aren't any better punts than Kennedy is.

Stevie Clarke will be annointed after the Euros.

Would celtic fans accept his style of fitba and would Steven be able to deal with the pressure that comes with old firm management?

Steve Clarke has rejected both sides of the Old Firm in recent times, for well documented reasons.

Absolutely no chance will he be the next Celtic manager.

Did he not say the only Scottish club he would ever manage is Killie due to a family member supporting them or something?

Agreed. Wasn't part of the reason he took the Scotland job because it meant he didn't have to reside permanently in Scotland and could spend more time with his family down south? There's no chance he will subject himself to this job.

He originally denied that he'd been offered the Sevco job then later claimed that he'd been lying and had indeed been offered the Sevco job.

Don't recall anything about the celtic job tho....

It's a bit naive to think that a big bag of cash wouldn't make Clarke change his mind.
