Firstly as most neutrals would say, it was not an idiotic tackle.
You have undoubtedly been hit by injuries but probably dictated by finances, your club have made the decision to run light with squad numbers.

Why tackle someone like that with two minutes to go, risking a ban, injuring a player in a game that was already won? As most neutrals would say.

Was a real shame, I enjoyed most of the game even if some of the referee’s decision were odd, the coverage and commentary were excellent and all precautions taken by the club looked very good but that will all be overshadowed by what happened at the end.

So your saying you should stop tackling in the last few minutes just because your going to win the game, that’s a brilliant tactic, that’s the kind of thing you’d say to the primary school team. The boy was through if Bronsky hadn’t made the tackle.
Must have been some Doctor who would diagnose it as a career threatening injury there and then. All and sundry could see it was a serious injury.

Think it was different for the Cowden bench and directors as we all had a great view of it. Think Clarke is going straight for an operation.

It all kicked off due to Gavin Price walking over to the Cowden bench and shouting it wasn't a foul. No need for it.

So that's all right then. A dislocation and two or three fractures. Operation sometime soon but absolutely no visitors.

No problems if it’s a fair tackle. Don’t think you’d be too pleased if it had been one of your players.

Firstly hope Clarke makes a speedy recovery.

My take on it, for what's it's worth, is that the ref made  a decision, which he deemed not a foul. Should Bronsky have made the tackle, definitely yes, because that's his job. Was it a deliberate move to injure the player, no. Why was Bollan shouting at the ref by name and not "Ref" as I can't recall any manager ever shouting at  ref/lino by name.

I can only speak about what I have seen of Cowdenbeath under Bollan and they seem to have an attitude when they don't get their own way and try to bully officials, start fights as seen when they played at BB back in March.

ROSS CLARKE UPDATE

Many will be aware of the injury Ross sustained in a challenge in the match at Elgin City yesterday. It was immediately apparent that it was a serious injury and Ross was treated on the field and then taken to the dressing room on a stretcher before being conveyed by ambulance to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin. Thanks go to Elgin club officials and in particular the medical team and first aiders present who rendered speedy assistance and helped tend to Ross at the ground. It was of course deeply distressing for all the Cowdenbeath party who were present and due to the Covid situation we were unable to have anyone travel with Ross in the ambulance. The team coach then detoured via the hospital where the manager and the club were briefed on the position.

Ross was kept in overnight and had a lengthy operation this morning to repair a dislocated ankle and also to have pins inserted due to his ankle being fractured. One of the Cowdenbeath directors, Craig Scott, looked in on him at the hospital this morning. He wasn’t able to get in to see Ross but he was able to chat to Ross on the phone. Ross has since had many other calls from his teammates, the coaching staff and directors. His family are travelling up to take him home later today. We are sure all Cowden fans will join us in sending our very best wishes to Ross and his family from everyone at Central Park and wish him well in his recovery.

I heard he took a call from Gavin Price who wanted to tell him it wasn’t a foul.
