Yes at the top of the Dunkeld Road just before the inveralmond roundabout was where Dewars whisky were located.  So all the streets of the new scheme around about there are named relating to whisky:  Auld Bond Road leads to Cooper Drive (cooper's made the barrels), Edradour Terrace, Lagavullin Place, Oban Place, Talisker Place, Glenturret Place.

Near the bus station in Perth we have Rutherford Court, named after Saints legend Drew Rutherford. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/perth-development-named-after-saints-2745509

Regarding the streets with the Aberdeen players' names, found this on some Aberdeens site https://allybegg.com/where-the-streets-have-great-names/

There's Renny Crescent and Tailyour Crescent Montrose, named after Henry Renny-Tailyour who scored Scotland's first ever international goal and also won the FA Cup in 1875 with the Royal Engineers.

I would name a street after John McGovern who won the European Cup twice with Nottingham Forest and was born in Montrose although he moved away when he was a kid.

Conversely... Easter Road isn't on Easter Road. No doubt other examples.

White Hart Lane has a football ground, Haringey Borough play there.

There's a while estate/scheme where the street names have an Airdrie connection, Ewart, McMillan, Whiteford , Jonquin etc.

Jimmy McMullen Walk in Manchester's Moss Side is named after the 1928 Wembley Wizards captain Jimmy McMullan.

Played for Thistle in two spells, left for Man City where he won the FA Cup and was the first-ever manager appointed by Aston Villa.

I actually wrote an article for my Thistle podcast's website, which is also available here: https://marcjwallace.medium.com/the-wembley-wizard-3aa926aee563
