A throwback to see the Mariners looking vaguely competent. I'm all for it.

Although, their second game was the first game this season that I didn't enjoy watching. I've seen every game but one so far, I think.

Overall, really enjoyable stuff so far.

Their next game is at home to WSW but not until 19 Jan although Serbian signing Stafan Jancovic will be out of quarantine by then.

Perth Glory play their first game of the season tonight at home to Adelaide United (kick-off 10:20 GMT). Newcastle Jets trailing Brisbane Roar 1-2 with bit over 20 minutes left. Roar become the first interstate team to play in NSW this season.

It's still got legs. So many enjoyable games and fun incidents this season.

The WU game today was madness, but I also quite enjoyed the Adelaide game in a completely different way.

Always a shame to see Grant Brebner lose...
