Accies v Dandies - 25/11/20

We’ve been fucking dreadful in the second half
Not at the races

Aye, we were barely average in the first half but the second has been rotten so far. Against a team who have shipped an average of nearly 3 goals a game all season, Im struggling to remember us chalking up 3 attempts at goal.

It’s more like watching us last season. Lots of possession around the halfway line with some hopeful balls pumped into the box.

Without Hayes, Ferguson, Watkins, McCrorie and Wright we have a team of defensive midfielders (Leigh, Ojo, Campbell et al) and 2 big men up front.

Kennedy is out of sorts, so any creativity has to come from Hedges.

We've been hit badly by a combination of injuries and bad luck. Our back up players are nowhere near the level that we need.

Absolutely but given we fashioned ourself a lead we just needed to avoid doing anything stupid and the goal we concede is absolutely pathetic. Yes, I’m seething.

That's like saying 'without Jairzinho, Tostao, Roberti, Edu and Pele, Brazil, were a team of defensive midfielders.'.

Except...

Bizarrely game management has normally been a strength of a McInnes team.

Somewhat ironic that has let us down tonight
