The decision was 100% correct to start and we will be able to continue at some point February. In eosfl weve had 1 case from each team at musselburgh vs Blackburn with no evidence that it transferred on the pitchPeople aren't being immunised Alan, they are being vaccinated, which won't stop you contracting it but will help you fight it.Therefore you can still catch and transmit this virus and all but a very few players or coaching staff will not be due to receive the vaccine until the 9th tranche.... so not really applicable to the debate but in the meantime they could still contract covid and unintentionally infect others. 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Loads of Premier league footballers have tested positive and games have had to be postponed. Only 2 deaths under 44 in the UK from 'covid' I put ' around the because people can have covid and then die 28 days later in a car crash and thus they died from covid. People forget that most EoS clubs are run and managed by an older age group.Then the impact that comes from players/officials having to self isolate and miss their own work. The fact that NHS hospitals are stretched to breaking point is also a problem. What if a player breaks his leg during a game or a committee member crashes their car on the way to a game - they're not going to check into their nearest BUPA or Spire are they? Nairn v Broxburn for example: 2 West Lothian players overnight in a hospital in Inverness in December. I just think it is wholly avoidable and unnecessary. There's both no credible prospect of clubs keeping a secure bubble and no fundamental point to playing competitive football, right now, BCD for the foreseeable future. Footy still on, building sites still open, golf courses still open, coffee shops still doing take-aways, you can sell your house, buy a house, go change your tires........all non-essential in my opinion, so no great surprise EOSFL still on.
